By providing education, prevention, early identification and intervention, school counselors can help all children achieve academic success. School counselors are educators who improve student success for ALL students by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program. They are considered to be vital members of the education team and maximize student success. Further, school counselors apply academic achievement strategies, manage emotions and apply interpersonal skills, and plan for post-secondary options (higher education, military, work force).
